Rolling out the Red Carpet

Hello there, this is my first entry on my first day as co-marketing intern with Andrea, and I am really excited about the position. First, a little something about me. I became involved with the Union my freshman year when I joined the Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club, and the next year was the Marketing Director for the club. Recently I have been wanting to get more involved with the Union, and I saw a position opening with the theater and was very interested, since I was a thespian myself back in high school.

The Union Theater offers a plethora of a huge variety of events that I was only vaguely aware of before starting this position, and I think the student body should become more aware of everything we offer here. I hope to bring my creativity and background in graphics to accomplish this and have a great time working here.

Looking forward to raising the curtain this fall!

Introducing Andrea!

Hello everyone! My name is Andrea and I am one of the new marketing interns for the Wisconsin Union Theater. I just finished my junior year here at UW-Madison and I am loving staying in Madison for this summer. I am a Journalism major, focusing on the strategic communication track of the major (which includes advertising and public relations).

I have never worked for a theater before and I am excited to learn all about the WUT. In my past internships I have worked with UW-Madison's student government and also with a local start up company Powered Green. I look forward to applying the skills I have learned in these internships to the WUT and gaining students' interest in the concerts and shows put on by the theater. I think students could really learn a lot about different music and about the world by attending the shows put on by the WUT. Hopefully, with the help of my fellow intern Greg, we can achieve these goals!

I'm excited! I hope you all are too!
